At Andrew's Sarcoma, our mission is to raise awareness and fund research to eventually cure all sarcoma sub-types at any stage
Sarcoma represents the 2nd deadliest childhood cancer and 15% of childhood cancer cases, but 1st line treatments have not seen advancement in over 30 years.
Current treatments include very toxic chemotherapies with intense side effects both in the short-term and also long-term for survivors.
In the vast majority of cases these therapies offer no hope of a cure, but only a delay in progression or relief from tumor associated pain.
Sarcoma represents a large unmet clinical need for a very high risk patient population.
Sarcoma has been known as "the forgotten cancer".
For Andrew and many others, Sarcoma is not forgotten - it is real and something that is experienced in every moment.
By raising awareness for Sarcoma, we believe this will draw attention and resources to an unmet clinical need. We hope that this will contribute to a large positive impact for the global Sarcoma population.
